State Farm Classic

Hononegah has advanced to the Finals.. The will probably be playing defending 3a champs Champaign Centennial.. Best of luck to Hononegah.. They have beat Thornwood (South Holland), Mahomet Seymour, and North Chicago.. Does anyone in the area play in tougher tournaments than Hononegah??

Def no Soboalum. I can't wait for the MLK tourney. I just saw defending champion Nequa Valley last week in the Elgin xmas final get there first loss to another state power house Glenbard E. Between the two teams there were 5 D1 studs on the floor. If you want to see the best tourney of the year locally get ready its coming soon. You can see Evans the stud from Nequa Valley who is going to St.Louis with Majeris and Smith from Zion who is going to Ohio st. next year. Those are just two of the many D1 studs and great b ball teams that will be in Hononegah. I can't wait ty Hononegah for bringing good teams to the area...Gl 2nite Hononegah great tourney.

Ya thats him Soboalum. He lost in the supers last year but if NV can get by Glenbard E. in there rematch in sectionals I think they go to state this year. There a really long team that just pounds the ball inside. Evans is a beast and St.louis got a great ball player. Just FYI the Glenbard E. team NV lost to only has 1 loss and it was by 1 point to I believe Chi Foreman who just lost to Whitney Young last nite in the Proviso West tourney. Omg what a game that was on comcast last nite. Talk about D1 players every where.

I saw part of the Proviso West holiday tournament on Comcast Chicago and I thought I was watching a college game.

I agree, great game between two great teams.. Watching Northwestern's bowl game in OT right now.. Hamilton the 6'9" freshman for WY is the goods.. I'd love to see him in the orange and blue in the future.. Crazy athletism by both teams, I feel sorry for any NIC10 school that'd run into that..

Oh ya Hononegah lost by 20 to Champaign Centennial.. Good showing by them though, they are a year away..

How'd Boylan do in Pekin???

Hononegah has nothing to be ashamed with in losing to Champaign Centential as Centential was class 3A state champs last year. I have a good friend that graduated from Decatur MacArthur so I keep an eye on the Big 12.
